spotting scope protection

Wanted to see how many of you use a protective cover for your spotting scope. like a neoprene cover or the like. I carry my scope in my backpack and thinking I should protect it. Thoughts?

I have used several different types over the years the neoprene ones are some of the best. I currently have the one Swaro makes for their spotting scopes, while stupid expensive for what it is it does a great job and is easy to get in/out of.
