Here is a recent build based on a 45 year old Remington 700 30-06. Turned out to be quite a good shooter. Just upgraded the scope to a March 2.5x25.

Thanks! Sadly, I haven't had much time to shoot it yet ... got too busy during the hunting season.

A week before Thanksgiving, my son and his buddy shot this (2-shot a piece, don't know who shot which holes though) at 100 yards with factory ammo. Thus far, a box and a half have gone through her, I guess you can say it's still doing the barrel break-in phase ... but so far so good.

I've been forming brass though ...

L to right:

1. 8MM Rem Mag (virgin)
2. 8MM Rem Mag after a couple of whacks with John Whidden hydraulic forming die
3. 8MM Rem Mag resized through John Whidden dies
4. 8MM Rem Mag (WBTY factory ammo) fire-formed off the chamber.

The scope is awesome but have not done any tracking tests yet. I have all I need for load development but will have to wait a bit for weather to cooperate a bit.
