Shilen barrel question

I just got a new 223 8 twist barrel and notice it says VLD on the end of the
barrel..Does this indicate ithas a special VLD bullet type chamber? I don't have any VLD
bullets...Bergers are to pricy for me as much as I shoot..I replace a 223 every 18m or so..

Its possible the chamber is throated longer for the VLD bullets. Do you have experience or the equipment to measure base to ogive (lands) with your fav bullet? Hornady OAL Comparator is usual.
