Seating mag box Rem 700 BDL Long Action.

Rem 700 LH, Long ACTION Needing help, I bought a bottom metal
and having trouble seating the mag box.
Can not get the action and bottom metal together to place the screws in, seems to be about a 1/4' difference to close the gap.
