Scope Mounts

I have a Remington 700 sps varmint bolt action rifle in .308. I'm looking for some advice on scope rings and mounting rail. I have 6-24X44 scope to be mounted and I was thinking of a 20moa leupold rail and Leupold rings. I'm looking to reach 600 yrds. Would I use low, med, or high rings? Is there another set up that would be better. I'm looking for some quality that will not break the bank.
