Some of the savage rifles have an adjustable muzzle break -- is this like the boss system that browning had or what is the adjustment?

I have looked at few 111LRH with this break and I have tried to turn them by hand no such luck do not sure if that is by design and need a tool to move it. But have heard they work very well.

I have a lrh in 300 win mag with this brake. It does twist from open to close. No problem opening or closing.

My LRH has the brake. It is an open/close design. It can foul up and stick after repeated shooting, particularly if there is any oil left in it. The manual says not to oil it. Some brake cleaner will loosen it if this happens. I just leave mine open and don't worry about it.
