Hi. Just got new barrel on savage with 12 twist. Using 40 year old h4895 got 20 pounds. With 52 gr. AMax 23.7 gr. 1/2 in at 200 yards. Bullets getting hard to get. Along with primers. I have tried 60 and 65 both under 1 in At 100 yards. Nice to have a rifle that shoots great.

I can't get much of anything with a B/C over about .28 to shoot well in the 12 twist barrel. I did get the 60 grain Hornaday hollow point to shoot .60" groups at 100 yards, and maybe there's a tad more in it with some tweeking. The best bullet I found in the 12 twist barrels is the 55 grain Sierra #1365 over 35.5 grains of IMR 3031 with the bullet seat .002"/.003" off the lands.
