First I would like to thank all on this site. Thru this site and manuals I have completed my first LRH project, including reloading. On to the next project.
I came across this Savage used with Luepold rings for $350. As far as I can tell it looks brand new (bolt and riflings). I have 2 concerns: 1) the cost 2) The previous owner put silicone between the front of the forearm and the barrel (I do not believe it comes from the factory like this). So there must be some accuracy issues but that should easily be over came with stock work and reloading (140 or 150 BTs). I will shoot mostly paper but will hunt deer out to 600yds. Any input about rifle or cartridge would be much appreciated.
