Sako finnlight ring options

Ok I've narrowed it down to optilock or leupold ringmounts I think I'm leaning towards leupold what height do in need to clear a 40mm vx3 who has a finnlight with this scope what r I running and what do you like

I would go talley if not opti lock. We have had a lot of inconsistencies with the leupold stuff. Talley would be a low ring.

Many are surprised to discover that there is a windage taper milled into the Sako dovetails that tends to determine the fore and aft positioning of the front ring. I have used Sako ringmounts but actually prefer the old school Redfield bases and rings. 11mm from the top of the action to the bottom of the scope tube is just right with my one inch Swarovski in Sako rings...

I'm gonna give the leupold rings a shot there is 10 months till deer season so if they mess up before then I will switch

Talleys are what I used on my Sakos. I sold the leupolds that came with one of them They weren't very solid appearing to me.
