I'm trying to find some info on a gun I'm thinking about buying. serial number 5779 are the first four numbers. It has a bell and carlson stock and the barrel has some ports cut in side and top. Its in great condition but I dont know if this barrel is original I havent found any pictures with this porting of factory guns. Does anyone know if they made barrels with this porting and what the age of this gun might be?
