S&W .22 Revolver

I've been thinking I need one for the trapline, like the older ones but seems to be many models. Someone school me on these. Thinking about a 3" or 4" barrel for ease of carry.

I have an older 4" Model 63 (J frame). If you can find one for a decent price, I think it would be perfect for a trapline.

I have a K-17 22lr it's a great 22 revolver,older ones command a premium based on age and condition.I like it will try and get a picture of it. The above model 63 stainless is very nice also. The K frame is a medium size revolver they also made 38 specials in that same frame and design.

I know not a Smith, but hard to beat a Single Six for trapping..

I originally was looking for a Single Six with both cylinders, but the Smiths seem more compact to carry.

Are Smiths all double action? I'm sure I would use single action most of the time.

as far as I know all the Smiths are double action , but you can operate them in a single action mode.

Mine came with very small wood grips. I have larger hands so I got the larger rubber grips. I think S&W makes 22 models on the J & K frames. The J frame is compact.

I have had a few S&W revolvers, and, except for a couple of 357s that I used for some double action shooting at targets, I have mostly shot them single action.
