ruger 2 stage trigger adjustment

Hi. I received my ruger hawkeye predator in a 6.5 creedmoor. The rifle comes with a 2 stage adjustable trigger. Can somebody plz explain to me how to adjust this trigger or has any body adjusted this trigger with sucess. I would like it to be fairly light as i am unable to use this rifle effectively with this trigger as it stamd now. Amd the second question. Is it a good idea to bed the action or not as i have heard many contravening opinions. Some say just tighten the action screw in a specific way others say bed the action. What is ur opinions.
