Removing Fireing pin from Mod 70

I have a Mod 70 classic that I want to remove the firing pin assembly so I can chamber rounds to determine seating depth. Or should just load empty brss bullet only cartridges instead ? I have the tool for Rem 700 .On a Mauser 98 you just to insert a pin in the existing hole on end of bolt and unscrew it. But how on a mod 70 Classic ?

I always take a shell with no primer & set a head in it & slam the bolt

This works for M70 as well as 700.

MOD 70 put bolt in gun set safety to half way so you can get bolt out push in clip on the side and turn the bolt apart. easy as that. no tools if you then want the spring to tention off just let the safety off.
