Anyone ever rotated a firing pin 90° and drilled a new hole in it for the retaining pin?

Ok. Learn me something Edd.

Why do you need to rotate the drill hole ? what do you want to accomplish?
The only reason I could think of is to better center the firing pin, or change the spring tension, (If I do that, I use small washers to get the tension I want or need.

Always interested in learning something.

I am wanting to increase the distance the firing pin moves when I lift the bolt handle.
