Remington 600 action bedding question

I just bought a slick little Remington 600 in .308. The factory stock is ok but I found an awesome thumbhole custom laminate stock for a 600. It is semi finished and completely inleted for my gun. I am a fair hobby gunsmith and was wanting to try to bed an action. Has anyone used this kit? Miles Gilbert Bedrock Glass Bedding Kit - MidwayUSA Does anyone have a better one they like to use? How hard is it to bed an action? I have read the instructions for the above kit and I think I can do it. Any suggestions? I want to make a short handy hunting rifle for 500 yards or less.
