Rem model 7 build questions/ideas

Hello guys. I'm looking into doing a build on a model 7 I picked up a while back. It is in 7 saum and would like to build a lightweight mountain rifle type build with a carbon wrapped barrel or lighter fluted. I'm not a fan of the pencil barrels though. I'm wondering if I should keep it 7mm or do a 30 cal. I already have a 325 wsm.
I've been looking into manners elite hunter line of stocks for it and would like to use the new badger or ptg detachable mags on it if they will feed.
Just brainstorming for now so let me know what you guys would do.

i would use a 700 action.

the 7 action is shorter than a 700. the 7saum is already long for even a 700 short action, plus all the after market is made for a 700 . easier to sell and a 700 action to start. doesn't sound like you want a single shot.
