Rem 700 Trigger Creep

I was tuning my trigger today using these directions...

Adjusting the Remington 700 Trigger

I'm gueesing my pull is about 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. There is a slight amount of creep before it breaks. I have the over travel screw set back just enough so it doesn't stop the trigger break and the sear engagement screw is set back about 1/2 turn from trigger release.

Any suggestions on to get rid of the creep?

Problem solved. I reset the sear engagement screw to about a quarter turn off and have done the recommended safety checks. Good to go.

Just curious about the tuning, was this one of the newer Remington triggers or older model. Maybe we should have said post 06/pre 06

If you mean the newer X-Mark trigger, no these are the older ones. I actually worked on two. They are the Sendero SF's not the newer SFII's. I picked them up used this year.
