Back when you could buy new primed Rim fire cases, you could load them.

But once they have been fired the case cant be saved or re primed.

I have not seen new primed rim fire cases for sale in years. In fact rim fire ammo is becoming
very difficult to find now days.

oh yeah you r firing pin dents the rim of the case and I guess the primer i in the rim. noway to replace that.thanks.

Rimfire cases are primed by placing the proper amount of wet priming compound into the case and then the case is spun around and it causes the compound to migrate to the edges of the rim. When the priming compound drys the powder and bullet is then added. A company used to make a tool that you could use the fired 22 case to make jacketed .224 bullets out of them otherwise the cases become scrap after fired. :D
