Said I wouldn't mind. Didn't say I could afford it LOL. Maybe someday when I win the lotto that I never playSupposed to be north of 7k. Not for me.

I heard if enough people boycott, the price might come down.Said I wouldn't mind. Didn't say I could afford it LOL. Maybe someday when I win the lotto that I never play
With the million dollars I make every month. Yeah.Said I wouldn't mind. Didn't say I could afford it LOL. Maybe someday when I win the lotto that I never play
Not this.I heard if enough people boycott, the price might come down.
The civilian version won't be rated for 80,000 psiBarrel burner? 135gr at 3000fps, 308 can do that. What will be the barrel burner is the 80,000 psi
YupThe civilian ammo likely will be all brass cased and under 65k psi
That's nice for Sig to supply us with proprietary stuff. But what about us loaders that would rather do it for ourselves? You can buy 277 sig fury ammo now on the sig website. They have all brass cased ball ammo at "normal" pressures and higher pressure hunting ammo the hybrid case. I dont remember the velociites exactly but think the hunting ammo was a 150 accubond at 28-2850 out if 16" barrel and something like 3100 fps out of 24".
If the components of the gun are designed to operate at higher pressure, why would SAMMI object? Is there a hard fast rule about this? The civilian version won't be rated for 80,000 psi
65-68,000. Ballpark Sammii won't allow 80,000 psi in a civilian firearm thats wishfully thinking
You can buy a rifle chambered for it and hunting ammo that appears to be well above what's possible with more standard pressures (uses the new case design for 150@3120@24").The civilian version won't be rated for 80,000 psi

The design limits of the gun and the material limits of the case as used. Also the bullet construction has to be considered. I'm not a firearm designer or engineer but I would surmise this is relevant. You can buy a rifle chambered for it and hunting ammo that appears to be well above what's possible with more standard pressures (uses the new case design for 150@3120@24").
I'm not familiar with exactly how saami works, what sets the limit on case pressure?
Is this 80k pressure limit for this round specifically, or a overall limitation on all rounds. I wonder what kind of reload ability those cases will afford with all that pressure.Saami pressure for round is 80k. They have an extra warning about it saying may need special case/gun design vs traditional 65k max. It is in the spec on their website. Curious to see how others support this but I doubt compettition will let sig be only place doing higher pressure, especially with so many guys moving to short barrels for suppressors
