Reloader 26

Trying to work up a load for my 7mm Rem Mag. using Reloader 26 as it is supposed to be non temperature sensitive, started at 65gr and am up to 67gr with no pressure signs and pumping out 3030fps but I can't get it to group, 2" group at 200yds is the best I can get. I loaded Reloader 25 in the past that shot dots but is very temperature sensitive as I missed to nice deer low at 300yds in 20 degree weather and it wasn't the guy pulling the trigger. Found out in that weather it was shooting 8" low at 300yds. I am loading .003 off the lands like I did with the RL 25. Anyone have any experience with that powder and bullet?

Temperature swing made it hit 8" low at 300 yards? How much velocity change is that?

8" lower, depending on the bullet, would require about a 500fps speed drop. That sounds extreme. I'd wager on something else changed.

I load it in 257Roy and haven't noticed much of a poi change from 0*- 70* F

Don't know velocity change we were in the field. Just put a target out at 300yds and shot low 8"at 300. Checked 300yd 0 when we got there temp was 57 degrees and was right on.

I start at .010 off and work back .010 till about .050 off with bergers, eldx/m. I start at .050 off with Barnes and work back till .090 off.

what was the elevation difference from home and where you were hunting? Temp difference by itself wouldn't swing 8" at 300 yards.

Sounds more like a 100 yd zero dropping that much.
