So I have a Weatherby mark v that the barrel is shot out. Have a new barrel to put on. My problem is what action wrench to use. I have called a couple local gunsmith. They either never return my call or aren't interested in the work. I have read where some have used a Mauser or model 70 wrench but haven't been able to confirm that. If anyone knows I would appreciate some info. Thanks

Here is the Brownells designed action wrench for the Mark V:

I've just used the old Wilcox universal action wrench on those since they're flat bottomed.

I have used a crescent wrench on the front of the action tightened around the recoil lug, i know its not recommended but it worked.
