Rebarrel my Rem 700 SA 308

What all would need to be changed to convert my 308 to 270 WSM or 7 WSM? I know the bolt face has to be bigger but how is that done and cost? Also if I went 270 WSM what twist for heavier bullets?

Open the bolt face, mill the feed rails on the action, new SAUM/WSM mag box and follower, and of course a new barrel.

Cost depends on the smith.

I'm not a .270 shooter, so no idea on twist.

IIWY, I'd go with 1:8" and shoot 'em 165/175 Matrix VLDs and 170 Berger.

I have 1:8" in my .270 AI pushing the 175 near 3100 FPS but my current accuracy load is 2993 FPS.
