Same as you, I'll be ordering the Leica 1600 as soon as we get back from snowmobiling in West Yellowstone this weekend. Let me know what you think of it.

My G7 BR2 arrived yesterday. It was no problem ranging elk and horses in the fields below the house out to 1200 yards. I ranged the hillside across from me out to 2013 yards. The ballistic calculations are what I'm excited about. Shooting rock chucks out beyond 600 yards I have missed too many by just inches due to the small differences in angle or altitude. I hunt up to 13000 feet.

Thanx to Bro and his research I got the Lieca 1600 and it ranges even small targets over 1200yrds.
