Does anyone happen to know what primers HSM uses for their 6.5-284 match ammo? I have some that is loaded with the 142 SMK that simply shoots terrible from my rifle. I think the bullets are seated far too deep. It has lapua brass though, so I plan to just pull bullets and load with a more proven load. In doing so, I'd prefer to just use the primers that are seated in the brass as opposed to wasting perfectly good primers. I just want to know what brand and if they are standard LR, or Magnum LR primers.

Thanks!!

I personally have wore out 4 good barrels in that caliber.i,ve never used a magnum primer in any loads for any of them.i burned 4831,4350 and n165 powder.with 142 smk,s
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, and I don't disagree with you, but I'm mostly curious to know which primers HSM would be using with the above factory ammo. Just would like to know what they are after I pull bullets, poor new powder, and seat new bullets. Not a huge deal, but we're talking a couple hundred rounds so just curious to know which primer is in them.
