Question

I have a Ruger M77 stainless with plastic stock in 30-06. Here is my question. I want a little better gun for hunting and starting in long range shooting. Should I buy something else or work with what I have? Would like a different stock and a bull barrel. I guess in short I am asking is the gun worth spending money on? Thanks.

Get what you want you only live once. If you want a silk purse start out with silk not a sows ear my momma used to say. They might not be the prettiest rifles made but for the money it is hard to beat the Savage long range factory rigs.
