Question To Savage 220 Slug Gun Owners.......

For those that use the Savage 220 Slug Gun, like to know your set up: Scope, mounts, and what ammo you use (brand, shell length) and if you know what size groups are you achieving at 100 yards?

Leupold VX-II, 3-9x40, DNZ Mount, Remington Accutip 3", 3/4" group at 100 yards

All the same as yours but with Burris 3 x 9. Maybe a little larger groups, but not much.

I have the 220 and the leupold slughunter with the EGW rail and leupold mounts. Shoots the 3" Remington accutips really well like 3 touching at 100. Not crazy about the Accutips performance on game animals. They seem to leave scant blood trails even when the shots are real good. Everything has been recovered and they don't travel far but they seem to self seal on the exits.

remington 3" accutips, Leupold vx3 3.5-10 x 40 cds. Deer killing machine.

Killed 14 so far and all great blood trails, well the longest one has ran has been about 10 yards but blood trail the whole 10 yards. Longest kill was 172 yards, dropped in tracks.
