What you are describing is basically an air compressor. Is anyone in this forum aware of the cons are of compressed air? Try asking a professional auto body repair shop about it. They will most likely say WATER! I restore antique tractors and deal with this frequently. Water in the paint is a No-No. Yet, I assume you are blowing this compressed air through your gun barrel and the lower receiver. What a great idea.😆😆
It's not compressed air, it's a fan. Ask any computer guy and they'll tell you that they use portable fans like those to clean computer parts as they don't have moisture issues like holding compressed air in a tank does.
 
Just get a portable power bank from Amazon. $20-$30 and should be good for multiple days at the range.

This is a hilariously misinformed statement. Chamber coolers are not compressors. They're fans. Compressors suffer from water in the air due to the actual compression of atmospheric air, raising its temperature and then cooling, causing the moisture to precipitate out. RIFLE KUHL and other Chamber coolers are fans. An air mattress "Pump" is pushing high speed, low pressure, atmospheric temperature air through a tube into the Chamber. Anyway, they work great for load development and if you run a suppressor and higher round counts.
 
Technically a fan is an air compressor. However, the moisture condensation problem with compressed air is proportional to the pressure achieved. Given that a fan rarely achieves more than a couple PSI compression at the most, I don't see it as any more of a problem than the ambient humidity already is.

Fans and blowers aren't compressors according to the ASME. They don't meet the definition because they don't meet the threshold for the compression. But I agree that the air it pushes is no more of a problem than ambient air.

ASME is focused on pressure vessels, explosions of those is pretty much what caused the ASME to come into existence. From that perspective a fan doesn't qualify, but look at the physics of it. I have to wonder how they would classify a turbocharger. Unless discharging into a container of some sort probably not.

Anyway, I think this horse might not just be dead, but completely flayed.
 
FWIW multiple options on the actual subject had already been posted.

After two+ decades on various forums it is my experience that past certain point wanting the thread to stay on topic is swimming upstream in a 100 year flood.
 
Unsure if this was answered, all USB chargers have the same input voltage, the output voltage is also the same, what is different is the amps depending on the device.
So, if you use a battery pack with the USB lead, there will be compatibility across devices.

Since we are at that point, you should have said "compression" in your original statement instead of "pressure".

Sdvldog1371 statement "and then cooling" is also partially incorrect. As the air cools additional moisture will precipitate out but moisture can be formed during compression.

Your reply just brought up some memories.
As a child we had our hundred year rains. Took a pice of plywood scrap dad had laying around. Surfed backward down the road. The water overflowed the curbs, so it was a good 16" deep.
Was put on restriction, probably for just doing things boys do. Out back wild tobacco grew. I connected some trunks and branches, taped together newspapers, made a kite with ropes through the crosspiece for more hands to hold onto.
Santa Ana winds. Took a few tries, it worked. thankfully it collapsed when I was only about 10 feet high. Never left the yard. Wild tobacco, maybe I was on restriction for smoking?
How is that for hijacking a thread?

To be clear I'm not intentionally encouraging a digression. I just accept that it's going to happen. And sometimes I'm an instigator, but I do try to wait until after the OP has several to many options for the posted question.

Unlike two old threads of mine on the same topic that were immediately hijacked by the same poster aggressively pushing their similar, but not the same idea. Likely for the better anyway, there's a probable patent in that idea.
