PUSH BUTTON QR Sling Swivel "BASE".......Question

What do I need to know about installing Push Button Quick Release Base on composite stock.....???

Including suggested brand "Base".

Don't use anyone but Grove Tec.
That's who Manners and Tab use for good reason.
If you're stock has hollow points which some do you may need to drill and fill the void with bedding before you tap it.

FWIW when I ordered mine from Manners I had the choice of swiveling or non swiveling. The non still swivel a bit and there's no chance of the sling getting twisted.

NEW RELATED Question.......Does it make any sense to mount the sling attachment on the side and not on the bottom. I am thinking I would leave the existing studs, and install the "Push-Button" QD on the side that the non-bolt handle side.
Any thoughts....

A lot of people mount it on the side so the rifle lays on its side against your back when slung.

How do I find some photos of where they mount the back one....??? The front is pretty obvious. But the rear could put the sling and swivel against my face.
