Proposal for raising ammo, component and firearms taxes.

This is the "whopper" part:

"Current law also holds that firearm importers and manufacturers must pay an annual tax of $500 or $1,000, depending on the size of the business. Under the Democratic bill, that amount would inflation-adjusted each year, as would the $200 transfer tax that must be paid when a firearm is sold."

Is there a built in cost to sell a firearm retail that currently has a $200 dollar fee or is this not correct? That sounds like an NFA fee, not a retail tax.

They do. As a retired individual who worked his entire life to enjoy his later years only to run into the last few years is very depressing. I can't say any more because would just get in trouble. Nobody paid off my student loans. The word swamp was too nice for so many of the people in Washington. It is deep like an ocean. Best to all our people in Florida. Out.
