Power Ring ?

My Power Ring is stiff and hard to turn but it works fine, I don't wont to damage it buy doing anything stupid. I don't have it on my rifle so I turn it for a few hrs hoping it will get a bit loose.
But its not getting any better, my idea of breaking it in may not be as easy as I was thinking.

I had a Leupold get that way. I sent it in and they replaced an o-ring. It's not great now, but it is better.
