I recently purchased a long action pmag aics magazine. I load the magazine, put it into the rifle, and the first round feeds fine but the 2nd round nose dives into the magazine and does not feed. I have done a little research and found that this is not uncommon. Does anyone know if this can be fixed or does the magazine need to be pitched in the trash?

I would take a look at the follower and the spring to see if it looks like they are in the proper position.

Believe it or not, it is quite common for the follower spring to be put in the wrong way from the factory. Have seen it with many DM rifles.
Sometimes they are in upside down which makes the follower drop down at the front instead of rising at the front.

Turns out the issue was the tracks inside the magazine. When 3rd round got pushed down slightly by chambering the first, the 3rd round would get stuck in the tracks. Fixed it by grinding down the tracks a little with a tremill.
