What is the minimum acceptable clearance between the bottom of the cocking cam V notch and the nose of the cocking piece?

Not sure if there's a minimum acceptable clearance, but there should not be any contact between the two when the fire control is in the fired position.

I never found any official spec for this so I made one up.

When I asked the question I had about .007" clearance between the cocking piece nose and the bottom of the V notch. I think that would have worked but I didn't like how it looked.

In the process of trying to determine what to do, I checked the clearance between the front of the cocking piece body and the bolt shroud. That clearance was about .024".

I used my precision Dremel and lowered the V notch about .017". Now the cocking piece nose also has about .024" clearance and I like the way it looks.
