Fred Choate tactical stock and a 6x25x56 long range target scope mounted on Knights Armament scope rings and a Atlas Bipod. Caliber is .284 Win. Gun will be used for target shooting mostly due to it's 14 1/2 pound weight. any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all the good info you guys give out. gun)

Thanks for the info. I am going to be putting on a Karsten cheek rest so if the base is a little higher it won't matter.

Mounts are no place to cheap out on a long range rig. This is a place where the term "you get what you pay for" could not be more true. I will not even mount a scope in the low end mounts anymore. I guess I have just learned that lesson too many times.

I prefer Near Mfg. or Nightforce depending on the app. But I have found Seekins, and Ferrel (sp?) to be good product as well.
