Nightforce Turret….seized?

Some background. I've owned no less than 10 NF ATACR/ NX8/NXS/Competition etc.
Just got home from vacation. Excited seeing NF box sitting in box. (Box is in perfect condition) Removed from box and like most the first thing we do is get to twisting on the turrets. The elevation turret almost won't spin at all. It's extremely tight. I tried spinning it to just a minute or two and stopped. Removed grub screws and took cap off. Everything looks fine. Reinstalled. Same thing.
So, two questions. Has anyone experienced this?
And two, how would it be possible to leave NF like this? I could see if the package was damaged etc, but it wasn't. Any ideas? Trying to avoid sending back to NF and having the long delay again. Like to resolve at home to get the optic/gun and and going.

Hmm mine was stiff but not hard and broke in the first day. Might just have to see what they say.

You're gonna have to call NF.

make sure the knob is on straight . loosen the allen screws , remove the knob , put the knob back on and tighten the screws . see if it's ok .

the knob can get put on crooked enough to rub .
