NF reticle hashmark boldness

About 6 months back I bought both a 4-16 ATACR and 4-32 NX8, both with Tremor 3 reticles. Have been running them both on different rifles but was noticing that when shooting with the ATACR the fine .2 mil hashmarks were difficult to see. Yesterday, I got behind both of them, going back and forth at 16x and could cleary see the .2 mil hashmarks of the NX8 but not through the ATACR. The NX8 was so much more bolder where the ATACR was very faint. To cover what i'm sure will come up, I have very meticulously, with my shooting glasses on, adjusted the clarity of the reticle via the Occular lens. Any comments?

Over 50? I was changing RX on glasses more often.I thought my far sight was getting better...............slow process of cateracts.I just got my second,shooter eye done,dam amazing.

I doubt it's my RX since I was doing a SxS test and I could clearly see the small .2 mil windage hashmarks on the NX8 at 16x.
