Only problem I have with newer Savages are the stocks. The accufit is pretty ugly though it may be functional. I have a .243 built on a Savage action with McGowen Barrel, B&C Medalist, and PST 6-24. It shoots exceptionally well as far as I have shot it which was a 600 yard F-Class match.
