Had a rem700 in a 25-06 and so I decided to change the bbl and get a new 6.5-06 AI and talked to Wade Hull at Shilen Bbls. And ordered it 2 months later I received the new barrel and had a gunsmith install it and I am really loving it . I have tried several powders and shooting 140 Bergers and using 7828sc and so far have shot 3 groups with it well under moa .
There was nothing wrong with the 25-06 but I love the 6.5 caliber ,I have a 6.5 Grendel and a 260 and just wanted the 6.5-06 A1 and really like it .
I live just 20 miles from Shilen Bbls. Company And have known the owner Wade Hull for 25 yrs anyway So going thru him was great . This is my fifth Shilen Bbl. ,anyway and cannot imagine going anywhere else.
