Hello,

Glad to be here. I'm in Oklahoma City these days (was living in California before getting laid off). This is "back home" for me as I am originally from Muskogee -- if you believe Merle Haggard, I think that makes me an authentic, genuine Okie. I had purchased a Sako 85 Finnlight II in 6.5 Creedmoor and a few scopes. Unfortunately, after being out of work for 9 months now, I've had to turn to selling things off to pay the rent. The rifle was easy to move at Cabelas but the fellow there said they don't deal with optics even if they're new in the box. He suggested I get to know this forum for both the ability to sell things to enthusiasts and for when I get back on my feet. Anyway, good to meet you all.

Welcome and greetings from North of the dfw texas area glad to have you on board this is an awesome forum you'll love it too
Thank you. I will say I was surprised when I got back to OK to see how much things have changed. When I was young, hunting and fishing was just a way of life; these days, there's so much planning involved. I thought it was just a California thing. I'd not done anything like that for about 30 years when I decided to pick it back up. A friend was getting into ducks and we wanted to go for a boar. It's a different world to be sure.

Welcome from North Central Wyoming!

Be very careful participating on this forum……you may find yourself working 2 jobs to afford your newfound addiction! 😉

The classified section should help you……but, I think there is a minimum number of posts before you can participate! I hope that things turn around for you……and you'll be buying rather than selling! Good Luck!

After the new member grace period, I'll be looking to sell a Zeiss Conquest V6 5-30x50 ZMOAi-1 Illuminated Reticle and a Leupold Mark 5HD 7-35x56 PR2-MOA. They're both unused in the boxes and I have the receipts. I wasn't able to get around to having either mounted before I was out of work and having to pack and move. I held on to them as long as I've been able to hoping for something to change for the better; but, I guess it's a sign I need to recalibrate and focus on what's really important.

I'll be over the moon if I could get just one job. My industry isn't doing particularly well lately.

I'm not sure as to your speciality, but this forum has someone from all avenues in life…… there may be someone that can get you back on track! memtb
