Wanting to do a new custom rifle build primarily just for hunting. Looking at custom actions currently. Does anyone know of custom actions that have a 3 position safety that locks the bolt down when on safety? Most of the customs I'm looking at do not such as the defiant deviant, Mack bros evo, pure precision skeleton. I might end going with a tikka action as I like the bolt lock when it's on safety. Primary reason I like the bolt to lock is so I don't get an unexpected round to extract while going through undergrowth. Calibers I'm looking at are the 338,300 class rounds or might end up doing a 22cm. Not 100% sure yet. Barrel will be a carbon fiber proof or similar and I really like the pure precision cf stocks.
