I think it is a bit of a stretch. Smaller cartridges just don't beat bigger ones. Aside from that I think the 33 is a very attractive cartridge.

Having a 338/26-Nosler for nearly 2 years, I'm more educated than most.

I have responded to this a couple times. Easier for me if you search my posts.

No it's not the "rival" of the 338 LM. Always the 338LM at the same pressure and barrel length will have an advantage. Physics is physics and there is no substitute for cubic inches. However, with bullets lighter than 250 grains the 33 Nosler is more efficient.

The entire XX-Nosler line has a lot going for it. That is why I built a 277/26-Nosler, 284/26-Nosler (aka 28 Nosler) 308/26-Nosler and 338/26-Nosler. I made some mock cases for 8mm/26-Nosler, 358/26-Nosler, 375/26-Nosler, 416/26-Nosler and 458/25-Nosler.

If you have a dummy round loaded with the 416 or 458/26 nosler I'd like to see a picture if you have one.

I don't have any 416 bullets. I guess I could make something on the lathe.

The 458 bullet is a Barnes "flat nose" hollow point for 45-70 but looks wicked.

It's OK to remind me. I'm a bit distracted right now.

As it works in the engine performance world... There is no replacement for displacement.

Yup. I said that too.

Thing to think about. If you don't need 500 CI why waste the gas.:D

I shoot 180 to 210 TTSX in my 338/26-Nosler. Flat and a hammer. Oh and I am so looking forward to trying the 236 Hammer Hunter. In the 338/26-Nosler and the 338 Edge.

If you are drag racing of course the LM will best the Nosler, however, the Edge will best the LM, however the LM-AI will best the Edge, however the 338-378 will best the LM-AI, however the 338/375 anything will best the 338-378. Etc...
