There is a young man that just got a deer rifle for Christmas that was on my shooting team I coached. He is going on a hog hunt in March and needs a scope for this rifle. He wants 3x9 or something similar up to 24x, with a plain or un-cluttered reticle. Illumination would be nice but is not a deal breaker. Young eyes so 1" tube ok but 30mm is better. 40 or 50mm objective. Rings would be a plus, as would scope covers. His budget is $250 for the whole setup, scope rings and bases, but I plan to help him as well so $350-$400 range not out of sight by any means. Let me know what you have for sale. Thinking Leupold, Vortex, Sightron, Burris, Nikons or the like. Thank you.

Roger

I have a 4.5-14x42 Burris E1 200338. Not the busy reticle. Side focus.
Outstanding scope for the coin. I'm sure I can provide Weaver style rings.
For him $165 shipped ($150 to me)

I have this to offer….no illumination, however, but it comes with its own set of aluminum 1" rings. It was on my wife's Savage 22 LR for about 20 rounds before she decided she wanted more magnification. That's all the use it has seen. I know it's not among the brands listed, but he can have it for $50.00 shipped if that would free some money up for him to spend on something else. 😇

I have a 4-16x50 Bushnell 4200 Elite that I have listed elsewhere for $310 shipped if interested also. Very nice scope with adjustable objective, light rear, bottom ring mark and slight scuffs on elevation cap otherwise very clean. Glass is great.
Scope on the left.

he can't go wrong with the bushnell that buchskinner offered. I had 2 of them and they are very clear and well made.

I have a Redfield Revenge 4-12x42 with Accu-Ranger hunter reticle. It comes with Leupold weaver style rings. No illumination on this one. It comes with box and paperwork as well.

I will also have an illuminated 3-9x50 Vortex Crossfire II with the v-brite reticle available after Feb. 1st. I have the box and paperwork for it as well and I'm sure I could include a set of rings with it. It's still mounted on my rifle so I don't have pictures of it yet. I'd send him either of those for $150.
