Need scope mount help

I have a Ruger 77 target/varmint 220 swift that I'm needing rings for.The scope I have is a Bushnell Elite 6500 tactical 4.5-30x50 and 30mm tube. Can someone tell me which height rings I shoud get? I was thinking med would work but my dealer thought I shoud get high. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the ones you have? I'm guessing they are med.?

They only come with one inch rings.

Oops, my bad. Wasn't thinking. You should be able to figure it close by measuring the distance you have to work with and compare it to the size of the scope. I have also "cheated" by simply holding the scope over the action and looking at the distance it takes to get the necc. clearance.
