Need loads for 300 SAUM

For what it's worth; I was using H4831SC {63.5grs} in a 28" inch barrel with 190gr. Sierra Match King, and turning in a very strong 2950 fps. Primer Fed 215 M; case Rem. This was a very accurate load for 1k shooting'…, with no pressure. You might think about working with H4831SC
Good luck.

I have factory 24" today shooting the 180's shot 2 groups 61 grains H-4350 3 shot at 100 .960 Second 62 grains H-4350 1.139 vel. 2870. I have some IMR 7828 thinking of trying it any in put. I loaded up for next time out some at 63 and 64 grains of H-4350. Tried 1 group of the Barnes 165 63 grins of H-4350 1.172 at 2979.

I didn't use the cartridge full potential in its velocity range; I wanted the accuracy end of the envelope and sometimes you have to slow it down a little; so once I found that'…., H-4831SC gave me the best accuracy with enough velocity to reach 1k with speed left over... that's were I stopped.
It was also much easier on the rifles barrel giving longer life. I considered IMR4831 {more speed but also higher pressure} but in the past that's always been a little to fast for other application where H4831SC worked.
Two powders I have on my shelf'…, I was going to use but never got around to was, RL-17 and Hodgdon Hybrid
The RL-17 looks like it could be a real sleeper here…. It's an over bore powder with a great pressure curve.
The Hybrid has a burn rate between H-4350 and H4831; man that's just got to be good, as well as having another low pressure curve.
You might think about giving them both a try; if I was shooting the .300 RSAUM now for 1k or wanted the best hunting loads I think this is where I go.

I have had good luck with 165 TSX and Reloader 17. I get 3/4 to 1" groups with 64 gr of R-17. This load is going 3130 FPS. This is close to MAX in my rifle so work up....
