I ended up with a Model 94 (1964 manufacture based on serial #) that needs a significant overhaul. The action still operates properly, there's just a ton of surface rust and pitting from being poorly stored. It belonged to my dad, but it didn't have any significant sentimental value to him; it was just his hunting rifle before he quit hunting 30+ years ago.
I'd like to have it brought back to a usable condition, but I just don't have the time to do it myself. Does anyone have any experience with shops that do that sort of work? Like I said, I'm not looking for a full "Turnbull Restorations" quality job. I'd be happy with a cleanup and cerakote job, if possible. I imagine it will need a new barrel because of the internal pitting, so that's just a given.
