The other day I saw a guys reticle that was in MOA rather than MIL dots. I thought that makes so much sense. I have a scope with turrets in 1/4 MOA, but my reticle is in MIL. Yes of course I can do the conversion, but why would anyone want an extra step? Ranging targets isn't any easier with MOA reticle than MIL dot reticle? wouldn't you want

Can anyone set me straight on this? Should I be sending my scope back to Leupold to get a reticle with MOA? Thank You

Sounds like you have been out of the game for a while, The military has gone back and forth. Teaching the mil/moa system and then having guys switch to mil/mil out in the fleet. Its confusing and stupid, if I was you I would just commit to one or the other. I like Mils do everything in mils and meters. I just found it was a lot easier for me to figure it all out cause the metric system is so simple. I don't know what leupold offers in MOA recticals.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm just going to keep my set up as is on this rifle and get comfortable with the mil/moa system. Then if I ever get something a little more long range I'll invest in a moa/moa set up and just keep it all in the world of minutes. Thank you

Last I checked Leupold does not produce an MOA Reticle! At least not in their vx3 or mark 4 line

Curtains and drapes are the same in my neck of the woods

Catchy title you got me! A guy could get m rad (mil dot system) turrets I believe they are m5 for mark4 scopes.

Now that's a good idea, I did not think of it. He could just call leupolds custom shop and get a new turret made.

Leupold do not have MOA to MOA. But they do have MIL/MIL in one of their Mark lines, can't remember which one, but I did speak to someone from Leupold last week to confirm.
