Looky Looky... New Gunwerks GLR Action...

I don't see anything to be excited about.

Agreed. Other than the extractor upgrade I don't see where this gains the end user much. I think it more benefits them as a company by not having to buy their actions from a 3rd party (if they are actually manufacturing it themselves) and with marketing their line/shooting system.

I see Sako influence in those actions.. for sure. The bolt it-self, specifically. Definitely resembles TRG/& the old 995 action's bolts. Their dis-assembly & assembly ease. The shroud notch. The double plungers... the -42's have had double plungers for a couple years already* The angle of ejection is definitely a point that was well addressed judging by the video too.. So minus the three lugs, that thing looks alot like Sako... I had my sako's design-similarity picture in my head multiple times thru the GLR video

I think it's going to be a winner.

I like the double plungers but like has been said, they are not unique. I like the integral recoil lug........also not unique. Ejection angle........hasn't been an issue with my limited experience with sako style extrators. Putting them all together may be a winner.

Looks like a solid, well made action. If priced reasonable I would try one.

Great to see they have deigned an action. It just gives all of us more options, and it's a positive sign that long range hunting is progressing. Disappointing that some guys are so quick to disregard their products without ever shooting one or without even hearing any reviews. If it performs just as well as the others already out there then it will be a great new action to have around. And I bet they'll be able to quicken the lead time over some of the other actions that are nearly impossible to get.

Hey guys, media released this video a little early, so we are behind on supporting material.

Stainless Steel is $1370 Titanium is $1670. RH LA std and mag are available now. SA and LH will be ready by spring.

I think we have selected the correct features to incorporate for proper function, with great execution and a few unique features. We worked on the design for over 18 months!

Main Points:

1) Different extractor, double plunger ejectors and lower ejection port. We did this to get more reliable ejection, and clear scope turrets without the troubles of the traditional over the lug M16 or Sako type installations.

2) Bolt operations were enhanced with proper clearances and selective fluting. Bolt lift force was reduced and the feel was enhanced by using two cocking cams. This gives lighter bolt cycling with a heavy spring and fluted firing pin (some actions do this with a heavy firing pin and light spring), this keeps lock time at a minimum. Obviously, the bolt handle is integral not attached.

3) Bayonet style shroud allows very simple maintenance on the firing pin assembly.

4) Integral lug. More thread tenon, MUCH stronger (no pin cutouts), less joint movement under load.

5) Will fit Remington style accessories (triggers, stocks, front ring base spacing for 8-40).
