Looking for real life hunting experience with the 245 Berger.

I dont know anyone trying to break both shoulders of elk due to the loss of meat. Is that a common thought?

When you shoot them 800 yards away you might not hit them exactly where you want to.

It's a Berger, should be going for vitals and not shoulders. Also agree with comment before mine.

800 yards or 250 yards. One shoulder should be plenty good, as long as it gets through it...
