Looking for alternative powders for 300 and 7 rum

Been using rl25 for all my loading in 300 rum and 7mm rum I am loading 150 to 160 class bullets in 7mm rum and 180 to 200 in my 300 rum I can't get any reloader powder can't find any so that's about out of ? . In the 7mm rum currently running from 3450 t0 3557 fps in chronograph with a 26 factory barrel the 300 rum is a 28 inch barrel and I'm getting 3400 with 180 sst through chronograph and not a max load .I currently have imr 7828 h1000 us869 h4831sc imr 4831 h4350 a 4350 looking to keep velocity close any help appreciated thanks in advance
Have you tried Ramshot LRT? I have a 300 Rum but I do not have a 7mm Rum; however, I have a 28 Nosler--which is very close to a 7mm RUM. In my 300 RUM I use H870 mainly because I have a great supply of it and it does fabulous. However, in my test loads in my 28 Nosler (with a 26" barrel) the H870 was a little too slow. In my 28 Nosler the Ramshot LRT was the "secret sauce" with 150 grain Swift Scirocco 2 bullets. I am averaging 3,414 fps with 95 grains of LRT; 150 grain Swift Scirocco 2; bumping my shoulders .002"; and seating about .015" off the lands. From what I can tell, LRT is somewhere between RL25 and RL33 in burn rate. I would say it is probably closer to RL25--but just slightly slower. A few months ago there was a good bit of LRT on the market; however I have not looked lately. When I saw how good it did in my 28 Nosler I grabbed 10lbs of it. I know your 7mm RUM is not a 28 Nosler; however, it should be very close in performance. In 7mm RUM with lighter bullets (150 to 160 grain) LRT might be what you are looking for. If you were closer to me I would give you some to try out before you go buying a good bit. Check out all the load data for your 7mm RUM and see if you can find any loads for LRT or go to Ramshot's website and they might have some there. I can tell you that in my 28 Nosler LRT is the ticket for the lighter bullets. Hope this helps and thanks.

i have run most powders out of mine i started with a 26" barrel and then rebarreled to 32". my top 4 depending on what im shootin are n570, rl33, lrt, retumbo. i shoot 225g eldm, 230atip, 230 hybrid, 250atip. throated for the 250's and it loves them with n570 or lrt the others get retumbo or rl33

You have several powders that would work. What's keeping you from trying them?
VV570 was mentioned, but I haven't seen that in a decade, though I do see 568 and 565 regularly now.

Options on the shelves near me in descending burn speed: MagPro, H1000 RS Magnum, Retumbo, LRT, N570.

I've tried all but H1000 and LRT in my 6.8 Western with good results. Your 7RUM might benefit from something really slow like LRT, N570, RL33, etc beings it's significantly more overbore than my 6.8

I like Retumbo in my 300 RUMs; when it was hard to find, I went to N570 and now have 24 lbs of it, but gone back to Retumbo since it works so well. For some reason, H1000 is killer in my .338 Edge, but never played with it much in 300 RUMs.

Years ago I was enamored with 180s in my RUMs and 150s in my STW (never owned a 7 RUM) but went to heavy high BC bullets in my RUMs and never looked back - BC wins the wind game over velocity every time.

I've had great success with IMR 7828 (can't find it anymore either) in .300 Weatherby (84.0 grns)(168 grn pills) & .338 Edge (.338 X .300 rum) 86.5 grns. Under a 300 grain pill.
I know it's not the exact same but maybe help with a tough decision?

Has anyone tried n570 or n568
I've been using N570 with Berger 215. Before that I was using Retumbo fir may years. Both are accurate in my 300 Rum. I used Retumbo with 180 gr. Barnes for years. Very accurate. Had CDS dial on scope made for a load. Now different barrel and CDS dial is for the N570 load with 215 Berger. H1000 didn't work well with heavies and slower fps.

I have loaded for both my 7 Rum and 300 for many years and had good luck with the RL 25, however I switched to both H 1000 and Retumbo about 10 years ago because the RL 25 here in Hot California gave me fits when the temps jump up. Retumbo is the clear winner for both of my rifles as well as two other Ultra's I load for. Start a web search now and have in stock email alerts sent to you and you will find some Retumbo. Best of luck and have patience. Jason
