Looking for a Cow Elk Hunt for 4 hunters in 2023

The Indian reservations are fun and something to consider. I've been twice on the Jicarilla and seen lots of elk, and all tags filled both times.
Hunting on the Jicarilla res is a very economical way for a Cow hunt. I've hunted there 4 of the last 5 years, no draw/hunt in 2020, and plan on applying again this year.

Washington is one of the worst managed states in terms of fish and wildlife. I hunt every year here and usually see plenty of animals illegal to take. Don't get me wrong there are people that take animals, but there are very few that take them every year. Our hunts are panned usually around the worst times and for short periods. Your best best for wa would be to get a recommendation for a high caliber guide. We do have a few areas that you can shoot cows, but most of it is private

I kind of forgot that was or is a problem there. I hunted there a few years back for birds. The owner told us about the mangement there. Saw lots of muly there. There requirement 4 point or better. All you would see was 3 point and under. Nice racks, but short on points.
I was thinking of winter kill this year. Go to be hard this year and possible next year too.

Been to the Rez many times while staying in Chama. The Wild Horse Casino in the Hotel got our "donations" on several occasions. The Casino has been closed since the Covid foolishness, so we are able to make the annual Chama trip a lot cheaper now.

Please let me know if anyone can help.

We are looking for a rifle cow hunt for 4 hunters, but could drop that to 2 hunters if that's all the cow tags we could get.

Would prefer Lodging and Meals to be included but we would be willing to take care of that if the price was right.

Thanks

Check with Zuni Reservation is west central New Mexico, they offer cow hunts to non tribal members.

You may want to check with Chama Land & Cattle ( Chama, NM ) Kind of a sister outfit to Jicarilla Reservation in Dulce. They have 2day cow elk hunts. Food & Facilities are first class. It's a great way to get a cow elk if your other options fail.
