looking for 264 Win Mag with Barnes 120 TTSX load recommendations

I just got a 1966-1967 Winchester model 670 in .264 Winchester Magnum. I have IMR 4831 Powder, Barnes 120 gr TTSX bullets and CCI 250 primers. The Barnes load info recommends 51.1 min to 56.8 max grains of powder. The Hodgdon site (they make IMR powder) recommends 58.0 min to 60.7 max with 120 grain bullets and the same powder. The ranges do not even overlap. What have you guys used and who do I believe to start?

I would use the information that Barnes published.

Second vote for using the Barnes info to start with. Start with the Barnes and work up from there.

Always start with the lowest listed load and work up. I have never loaded IMR4831 in the 264.

My lilja barreled 264 likes R-33 with the 120 gr. TTSX. My M70 264 likes H1000 with 125 Noslers.

Slower the powder the better I have found in the 264.
